About Us

For over 35 years, Cindy "Shining Star" Elderkin has been selling handcrafted beadwork, leatherwork, and regalia items of the highest quality at Native American Pow-Wows and Art shows up and down the East Coast. Her work has been featured in calendars, promotional event material, and in the Haffenreffer Museum of Anthropology in Bristol, RI. In 2004, she opened a brick-and-mortar store in central Vermont, selling her own artwork along with pieces from other local and Native artists, craft supplies, and gifts. She is excited to transition to online sales with the launch of the brand-new Shining Star Traders website.
